A hotel room in Hong Kong becomes a reflexive side stage of the resistance against the introduction of new security laws in China in 2020. The film is an essayistic response to the previous documentary Room 525 and at the same time an update of Wim Wenders’ film Room 666 (1982). In the privacy of a hotel room, various Hong Kong filmmakers discuss the danger of self-censorship and their role within society.
