Video installation

The video work is part of an ongoing research concerning WWII history in Nazi-occupied Norway. In particular, that of Soviet prisoners of war who were forced to work on the infrastructure in the Northern parts of the country. The research approaches their history, not through the lens of archival material as such, but through meetings with hobby historians who claim a special relationship with the prisoners’ destiny. Divergent methods of dealing with memory and history emerge.
