Blackbirds Singing in the Dark
↳ Benjamin F. Stumpf, Prof. Dr. Kerstin Hallmann
DE, ES 2024
The Blackbirds Singing in the Dark project brings together artistic positions that deal critically with social issues such as the future, fear, belonging, community and identity. The works were developed by students and teachers from the University of Osnabrück and the University of La Laguna Tenerife and reflect the perspective of a young generation that is shaped by the current presence of crises, wars, social injustices and social trauma, among other things. The project also shows the hope for a better future in which people come together peacefully. This desire for a collective “we” raises questions about a tomorrow in which people from diverse backgrounds meet anew and a bright song rises out of the social darkness.
The artistic works by students and lecturers from both universities will be shown in the lounge of the Museumsquartier Osnabrück from 24th April to 12th May.
